Term (Index) Definition
zeta potential  potential of solid surface interacting with ambient featuring specific chemical composition.

Reference: See more complete definition of zeta potential
wet cleaning  process of contaminants removal from the wafer surface in the liquid-phase; prevailing cleaning method in semiconductor manufacturing; wet cleaning chemistries are selected to form soluble compounds of surface contaminants; often enhanced by megasonic agitation; always followed by deionized water rinse and dry cycle.

Reference: Akrion, Inc.
surface conditioning  surface treatment aimed at establishing specific chemical characteristics of semiconductor surface; for instance hydrogen termination of Si surface; in general, uses the same wet and dry techniques as those used in surface cleaning.
