Term (Index) Definition
power - delay product  a measure of semiconductor device performance; lower power-delay product means that power is better "translated" into speed of operation; figure of merit in digital ICs which shows that power needed to switch (lower the better) is as important to digital performance as a switching speed.
digital device, digital integrated circuit  devices and circuits designed to realize digital (computational) functions; in digital systems output signal in response to the input signal is either "on" or "off"; designed to assure as rapid as possible switch of output signal from "on" to "off" state (and vice versa) with as little energy as possible.
